The FUMC Reconciling Team has put together two letters written to local school who have recently been victims of hate crimes. Independence High School, who recently had a noose hanging near the entrance of the school and Lake Braddock Secondary School, in which LGBTQIA+ students were victim to harassment via social media.
These letters, put together by the Reconciling team, condemn the harassment, show support from our congregation, and affirm FUMC’s Reconciling statement: which proclaims without reservation, God’s unconditional love and inclusion for all persons.
