Fairlington UMC is a Reconciling Congregation with open hearts, open
minds, and open doors. We proclaim and welcome every person as a
beloved child of God regardless of age, race, physical or mental ability,
sexual orientation, gender identity, family structure, faith history, or life
experience. For more than 75 years we have been building and
sustaining relationships with our neighbors, responding to community
and standing up for justice.
In 2019 we celebrated our 75th year of ministry at the corner of
I-395 and King Street in Alexandria. We believe in building relationships with our neighbors, serving the needs in our community and standing up for justice. Our history is rich with these stories. Like other United Methodists, our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Our vision is that Fairlington welcomes all to a nurturing faith community that serves God by serving others.
